Oy Lunawood Ltd is an industrial producer of high quality Finnish thermowood. The company was founded by two brothers Olavi and Aulis Kärkkäinen in 2000. Lunawood started from nothing being.today the leading producer of thermowood. On a global scale in terms of manufacture, service, and quality company aims to continue its growth.

In May 2010 CapMan Technology 2007 Fund became the main owner of Lunawood. The Chairman of the Board is Mr Olli Liitola. Other Members of the Board are Arto Halonen, Jarmo Hirvinen, Anders Holmén, Esko Mäkeläinen and Petri Wager.

Lunawood’s subsidiary Lunacomp Oy started the production of thermowood composite in spring 2011. Lunacomp is fully owned by Oy Lunawood Ltd and is located in Iisalmi. Lunawood has over 65 employees and produces annually 45 000 m³ of thermowood. The company’s principal office is in Iisalmi on Northern Savo, Finland. Lunawood also has a production facility in Joensuu.
